The instructors at Iron Collar Academy are seasoned, highly experienced BDSM practitioners and active members of the Dallas-Fort Worth leather and BDSM community. Many were formally mentored early in their leather journey and remain deeply committed to continuous learning and personal growth.
They are longtime contributing members of the region’s most respected BDSM and leather clubs, with several having served in Executive Committee leadership positions. In addition to their extensive practical experience, they are published BDSM authors and sought-after instructors who regularly teach classes at major events, clubs, and dungeons throughout the community.
This combination of real-world experience, leadership, and ongoing education ensures you receive authentic, high-caliber training grounded in the living traditions of the Master/slave dynamic.
Master John (He/Him/His, Él/Su) A gay leather man known on FetLife and Recon as MasterTxT, owner of slave don and faggot slave, son to a father that came out of the closet late in life, co-producer of Beyond Vanilla, mentor, teacher, owner of the slave training Academy, presenter, and Master of the House of TxTorture. What draws me to Leather is the chance to turn the wild fantasies of my perverted adolescent mind into reality. Even as a child playing “cowboys and Indians,” power exchange was always present — the ropes were tight, and I was in control. My leather journey began in Chicago in 1994, meeting other Leathermen in leather/Levi bars and finding a Mentor. At the time, today’s organized kink community didn’t exist. The internet was brand new. Information came from the back pages of adult magazines or swinger sheets, and buying toys in sex shops required a driver’s license. There were no bootblacks, bears, pups, or critters and preferred pronouns were not a concept. What keeps me going is my deep passion for power exchange, edge play, and connecting with others who share these interests. I’ve learned that dominant and submissive dynamics appear naturally in everyday life, and I’ve always been attuned to that Dom/sub and kinky energy in people rather than just physical appearance. If you catch me observing someone, it’s likely because I sense an energy I’d like to explore. Over my 30+ years journey, I’ve watched many people, clubs, bars, and ideologies rise and fall. I’m grateful to have witnessed significant positive changes in our communities. Still, we continue to fight among ourselves. I hope negotiation and respectful dialogue become the norm, where differing views and ideologies are honored. A proud graduate of the prestigious Butchmanns Experience and the intensive Dallas Boot Camp, slave maintains active membership in The Delta Brotherhood, Discipline Corps, and NLA-Dallas. Former committee member of Beyond Vanilla. faggot slave (it/hole), gay Leatherman known on FetLife and Recon as fagslave57 (SRN 00-934-354-573), is originally from a small town in Ohio. it was born and raised there. Once it graduated from high school, it joined the U.S. Navy for four years. After it got out of the Navy, it went to work for a U.S. federal organization for 26 years before retiring. Once it retired, it began its journey into the BDSM scene in Dallas, Texas. it became a member of Dallas Discipline Corps, Lonestar boys of Leather, and a former committee member of Beyond Vanilla as its Sponsorship Chair. it has had a Mentor who introduced it to BDSM and two Masters in the last 13 years. E.I. Saint (He/Him, They/Them, it/its). I am a Dallas-based Leatherman known on FetLife and Recon as Saint. Since 2017, I have called Dallas my home. I joined the community in Albuquerque in 2005 and later joined the New Mexico Leather Wolves. Upon moving to Dallas, Discipline Corps approved my membership in early 2018. I was elected Member at Large, and in 2020, I became President for three years. I am also an Associate member of Chicago Hellfire Club. Beyond my community roles, my personal passions define my practice. I engage in and teach on Moderate to Heavy SM, Rough Body Play, and the Struggle of Wills. I enjoy CNC and the ever-elusive true asymmetry in power. A Sigma at heart, I'm always on the lookout for a real Alpha. A Leather educator, writer and author of Mew-sings of a Leather Kitty. With over two decades in the community, I teach power exchange as a practiced discipline, emphasizing structure, accountability, and intentional authority. My work focuses on developing authentic dynamics grounded in self-awareness rather than simple performance.
